Common questions

Why isn't my artwork syncing to my other device?

Both devices need the same iCloud account, and iCloud Drive enabled for Whilst:

1. iOS Settings → tap your name → iCloud → Apps Using iCloud
2. Confirm Whilst is on for both devices

If still not syncing after a few minutes, toggle iCloud for Whilst off/on, then quit and reopen the app on the slower device.

Is my child's artwork private?

Yes. No server, no analytics, no third-party SDKs. Your library lives only on your devices and in your private iCloud. The developer cannot see or retrieve any of it. Full details in the Privacy Policy.

How do I save an artwork back to my camera roll?

Open the artwork → tap "Save to Camera Roll" at the bottom. Whilst keeps its own copy.

Can I share my archive with a grandparent or partner on a separate Apple ID?

Not yet. Today: Whilst syncs across your own devices on the same Apple ID. We're building a "Share with family" mode for separate Apple IDs. In the meantime: "Save to Camera Roll" is the most reliable per-piece sharing path.

How does Apple Family Sharing work for the price?

Whilst supports Apple Family Sharing. A single $6.99 purchase covers your family group — anyone in your iOS family can install and use Whilst on their own Apple ID with their own library. (Each person's library is separate for now.)

I deleted an artwork by accident. Can I recover it?

If iCloud Backup is on and the artwork existed before your latest backup, you can restore the device from backup as a last resort. There's no in-app trash in v1.0; a Recently Deleted folder is on the roadmap.
